Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 4 pineapple rings
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices crispy bacon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce
Season with salt and pepper, then form into 4 burger patties
Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of Swiss cheese to each patty and allow it to melt
While the burgers are cooking, grill the pineapple rings for about 2-3 minutes per side until they have grill marks
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, remaining teriyaki sauce, and prepared yellow mustard
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned
To assemble the burgers, spread the teriyaki-mayo sauce on the bottom half of each bun
Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a burger patty with melted Swiss cheese
Add a grilled pineapple ring, a slice of crispy bacon, and some thinly sliced red onion
Top with the other half of the bun, and secure with a toothpick if necessary
